Starting is the hardest part...

So its the end of January, and I've finally started prep. One of the hardest parts is simply figuring out what to study. Everyone has they're own scheme. I live with 3 other med students and we are all doing different methods. I chose to make First Aid my number uno guide. I also enrolled in the Kaplan USMLE 1 board prep program. I've tried to tackle the material in a subject manner approach. By this I mean, I'm approaching board prep by subject (i.e. GI, Cardio, Resp, Nervous...) So here are my steps in tackling subjects.

Step 1: Stream all the kaplan videos and take notes in the books they provided

Step 2: Read over and study the Kaplan material

Step 3: Put additional information into First Aid

Step 4: Read over Goljan Pathology notes

Step 5: Transfer all Goljan additions into First Aid

My plan is to try and get through at least 2 subjects a month. I let you know how that goes...
